If I had a nickel for everytime Jensen Ackles was the older brother in a show about solving mysteries using a specific set of skills while also being about dealing with family trauma, I'd have two nickels.
Which isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened twice.

As much as I love the fact that Tracker has some queer representation, it bothers me that in two seasons, we've only seen WlW relationships. Like, there's not even been a hint of a gay man on the show.
Someone awhile back said that they didn't agree with me that lesbain/sapphic relationships are still seen as less taboo, and of course they're allowed to see things that way but from my viewpoint, the fact that most TV shows are still much more comfortable with two women having an open relationship on TV, or women showing interest in another woman, kind of proves a point. Especially in more "macho" shows like Tracker.
Anyway, it's just a thought I've had, especially throughout season 2. One of the main characters is a butch lesbian and we've had multiple lesbian relationships shown.

Thoughts on a Tracker that seriously reminded me of a scaled-up version of High Potential's season finale and this isn't even Tracker's season finale
surprised seeing Dory wasn't part of the job
little bit of meta-commentary with the brand thing
zero-point energy, are we going full Eureka
so the bros' little X-Files adventure is coming back to relevance
duty quite literally calls and Colter's loved ones can't catch a break
so helping out Reenie's mystery man
how personal is this personal assistant
is this the third time this season we've had something at least start out looking like corporate kidnapping
and getting all kinds of Criminal Minds flashbacks again (I swear these shows should cross over)
looks like tag-team techies doesn't necessarily mean they'll both be working every job (didn't see Randy in the credits but they wouldn't have tag-teamed for only that job if it was a business-is-booming thing)
as Colter races against time
guess we found out where she was
some High-Potential-esque game playing going on
it's all coming together with why he wanted Reenie's help
somehow managed to be in the dark indoors
Reenie going all spin doctor
is the motherforker on a boat?
but the boat's docked, that's easier
guilt complexes not helping my own anxiety
were those bloody fingerprints?
what are those, clues for ants?
digging up dirt back are we
conveniently calling while Elliott's out of the room...lookfuckingbehindyouReenie!
found Reenie's phone, found Reenie's other-guy, where's Reenie
as usual Colter getting stonewalled by the law enforcement
nice admitting he can't zoom-enhance everything
tracker tracking her tracker
did he get thrown off the trail again
found the other woman
a little bit of social commentary
and anxiety going back up
what the frick, that's a twist
and a twist on the twist
answer the fucking phone dude why won't people just answer the fucking phone
so this whole episode feels all about guilt
"it'll make perfect sense" if the FBI doesn't know how to dust for fucking fingerprints
different circumstances bitch
meanwhile Colter's just kicking ass while she's monologuing
threee...twoooo..oooonnnee and Reenie owes him big time
that's gotta be rough for Sharf
dude she needs a hug
and things just started to hit home for Colter
and there's the hug
what's in the booooooxxx
can we actually see any of that shit or are you saving it for the season finale
and the mystery number doesn't exist, sounds like a job for the tech guys (and I seriously hope it's both)

My Thoughts on Tracker Season 1 Episode 3: Springland
Spoilers Ahead
Colter is in Springland, Idaho, during this episode but was originally on his way to track down a stolen vehicle against his rival Billie. He stops at a diner and is interrupted by a man yelling at a woman searching for her missing sister. The man pulls out a knife and slashes one of Colter's tires before further threatening him. Colter gets hurt during the fight, which leads to him going to the town's clinic. The doctor asks about his collection of scars, with Colter being evasive about his childhood. At this point, we have not seen much of his childhood, but we can pick up on neglect, abuse, and fear, most likely being highly present in his youth. When asked about van life influencer missing Mia, the doctor clams up a bit.
The concern about 1 missing woman scaring off tourists is false and a lie. One missing woman would barely be on any tourist's radar when checking where to go travel. Crimes happen in every town, city, village; what have you so the discussion being centered on tourism is classist, elitist, and damaging to reporting crimes if reputation and money is all you care about. It makes the town look more horrible since everyone is putting their morals aside in the hope of making it a resort town where crimes could occur with more people passing by.
The sheriff then pulls up to send Colter packing and guilts Kira. Everyone in this town wants this woman not to be found, implicating the whole town as guilty and accomplices. Colter and Kira have a talk about rough childhoods with Colter being the Mia of his siblings. Van life is also such a late 2010s-2020s experience, it will be interesting to see how this episode ages. The Winslows, hoping to set the town into a resort town, are the employers of half the town, and the men in the diner fight. The last known location of Mia's van is also on a Winslow property, where Colter is investigating the area. Knife man returns with and threatens now to shoot Colter before revealing his hatred of van lifers. Mia hadn't been sleeping in her van, according to the man.
Velma and Robin discover Mia was with a man called Gecko before meeting with the Dr. again. Gecko is really Matt Winslow, heir to the Winslow town empire. Colter goes to talk to Matt at his house before Matt tries to take off. Matt claims they were talking about a future together before ghosting him and skipping town. The Winslows make further threats, showcasing the power and fear they hold over people, especially over Matt, who looks petrified of his parents. Bobby finds her van on the property with Kira demanding to come with to help identify the van or Mia if needed. Kira confirms it's her van before shooting starts, and they run before Kira trips, hurting her arm. Colter shows off his first aid skills again and how much care he takes to wrap her arm. It helps humanize Colter and shows how much he cares about his work beyond just payment but rather helping people.
Colter and Kira discuss regretting not telling their siblings they love them. We have only seen flashbacks of Colter's siblings at this point, so the moment helps show the audience that some regrets are there and that distance is the problem. When Colter brings the Sheriff to the van site, its gone, with the Sheriff telling him to get out of town. The Sheriff knows something and is hiding it; he is much too focused on getting this out and not talking about it. Colter's van is broken into by Reenie, with some fun banter between the two. The Winslows love to sue but got sued by a man who died shortly after filing. That is highly suspicious behavior and certainly worth a further look at, but the Sheriff isn't going to do that. Mia was on the witness list for the prosecution, leading to why she may have been killed and furthering that he might have been killed by the Winslows as well. Matt is confronted by Colter and Reenie before leaving, distraught with the two. The mom had Mia killed eerily reminesict to me of Law and Order Criminal Intent Season One Episode Smothered where the mom kills her son's girlfriend to protect the socialite family.
This episode gives more insight into Colter's past and that Russell is trying to find a way to contact him. Colter can be seen in Mia, with the van, traveling and trying to run away from his past. He's also similar to Kira with having regrets about his siblings. I think that the episode was fun; the town and Sheriff pissed me off and weren't explored enough to explain why the focus was on hiding it by everyone. If everyone wanted it hidden, that would mean everyone knew it was the Winslows. 7/10

The show Tracker could be a fun show if it didn’t take itself so seriously, and if they didn’t cast Hunky McKendoll in the lead role. That instantly makes the main character unrelatable and unbelievable. You’re telling me this guy was raised by a survivalist off the grid and has tracking skills that rival superpowers AND he looks like an Abercrombie model? Come on. He should at least have a home school haircut.

Tracker
So Justin Hartley's new show. Colter is basically a skilled survivalist and tracker who searches for lost people to collect the reward money. Mercenary, except he cares about he does, it's just a guy's got to make a living.
I rather love the fact that he seems to have 3 moms. There's his birth mom, who we see at the end of the episode. But then there's the lesbian couple that serve as his support and management team. They are also old enough to be his moms and they certainly act like moms, the way they talk to him and fret. They have a corgi. Getting an additional adopted dog is a plot point in the pilot.
I think it's kinda great, and I'm sure there will be an explanation for the hows and whys of this relationship with Colter. But I'm also content with the idea that this guy just needs three moms to manage his amount of personal baggage and professional bullshit, so he can save people who need saving.

Thoughts on Tracker essentially doing a Leverage episode (seriously, if those shows could be able to cross over they should)
weird bunch of callbacks
oh, so we're back in that same place in Vermont I think
don't trust sickness-all-of-a-sudden or cuffs in front
shit just got real
and that detective's back too
parallel guilt I get it
I like Randy but I'm getting worried for Bobby
first time I've seen one picture take up the whole logo
badge is an interesting little wrinkle
hatch, what is this, LOST
Randy feeling like a dude equivalent of Garcia with the lightness he brings and managed to find "E.T. phone home"
time to pay back a favor and go "steal" a prison
so much for the driver I guess
meanwhile back at the prison Billie's getting in position and what's with the "welcoming committee" on the balcony like she's pledging a sorority
on the one hand she and Reenie are the Parker and Sophie of Colter's team to the degree she's a part of it, on the other hand I could sense as much other-woman tension as on that Grosse Pointe Garden Society I just watched
bets on if something's gonna happen to the one guard on their side
of course she got that kind of cellmate
"queen bee" identified
prison cafeteria feeling like high school
and there's the corporate angle
go kick their asses babygirl
there's a twist, hostage lost the fugitive
even more twisty shit
felt like that was coming
parallels get even deeper
and Colter going in the wrong fucking direction
gracias por subtitling the Espanol
motives revealed
thank you Hollander
and there's the social commentary angle making this even more Leverage-y
connection made explicit
ok they think they're getting what they want, how's our heroes gonna get the drop
and there they are
learned his lesson I see about not approaching from the same direction
the conversation I was expecting and a good message
could tell from the trailer things were going to get a little steamy between Colter and Billie there and not disappointed (and neither was I by the needle drop this show keeps finding bangers) and that kiss...begun the ship wars have?
